Terms of Service
Last updated: April 24, 2026
By using KidCampConnect, you agree to these terms. We've tried to write them plainly. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. Who we are
KidCampConnect is a directory of kids' camps, classes, and enrichment activities in Madison (WI), Evanston (IL), and Tampa (FL). The service is run by two parents as a small side project. We are not affiliated with any of the camps or providers listed.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use this service. The service is intended for parents and guardians, not children.
3. The service is a directory only
KidCampConnect lists information about camps, classes, and activities. We are not the provider. We do not:
- Endorse, vet, screen, or recommend any provider listed
- Verify that providers are licensed, insured, qualified, or safe
- Handle registration, payment, or any transaction between you and a provider
- Have any contractual relationship with the providers we list
You are entirely responsible for choosing whom to register with, and for evaluating any provider's credentials, safety practices, and suitability for your child.
4. We don't warrant accuracy
Camp dates, prices, age ranges, registration windows, and availability change constantly. We pull information from public sources and provider submissions and do our best to keep listings current — but we cannot and do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete, or up to date.
Always verify program details directly with the provider before registering or paying. The provider's own website is the source of truth, not us.
5. Your submissions
If you submit a camp listing, program, or other information through “List your camp,” the planner's “Add a program” flow, or any other submission form:
- You grant KidCampConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, distribute, modify, and display the submission as part of the directory.
- You warrant that the information is accurate to your knowledge and that you have the right to submit it (you own the content, or you have permission from whoever does).
- You agree we may edit, reformat, or remove submissions at our discretion.
If you believe content on KidCampConnect violates your rights, contact hello@kidcampconnect.com with a description of the content and the basis for your claim. We will review and respond promptly.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access parts of the service you're not authorized to access
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
- Interfere with the service's operation (rate-limit evasion, denial of service, attempts to disrupt other users)
7. Intellectual property
The KidCampConnect name, brand, design, code, and original commentary are ours. The factual data underlying the directory (camp dates, prices, locations, descriptions) generally comes from publicly accessible sources and remains the property of the camps and platforms that publish it; we don't claim ownership of those facts.
You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes — browsing, planning, sharing camp recommendations with friends. If you want to use the directory for something larger (commercial use, mass redistribution, or building a competing service), reach out at hello@kidcampconnect.com and let's talk first.
8. Third-party links and services
KidCampConnect links out to provider websites, registration platforms, and third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites. When you click through to register for a camp, you are dealing with that provider directly under their terms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.
We disclaim responsibility for:
- The safety, conduct, qualifications, or quality of any camp or provider listed
- Any decisions you make based on listing information
- Loss or harm resulting from registration, attendance, or any interaction with a provider
- Service interruptions, data loss, or content errors
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL KIDCAMPCONNECT, ITS FOUNDERS, OR ITS CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE — ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KidCampConnect and its founders from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your use of the service, your submissions, or your violation of these terms.
12. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on KidCampConnect — whether submitted by a user or otherwise hosted — infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to hello@kidcampconnect.com with the following information, sufficient to satisfy 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and where it appears on the service (URL or other location).
- Your contact information (address, telephone number, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
We will respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the material in question and notifying the user who submitted it (if applicable). Repeat infringers may be prevented from using the service.
13. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. KidCampConnect is currently operated as an unincorporated joint effort; this clause will be updated to specify a governing state and venue upon formation of a legal entity.
Individual claims only. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to bring any claim against us only in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
